The Redskins just played the Cowboys coming out of their bye week. What is the Redskins all-time record in games played immediately after a bye week? Don’t worry, you won’t have to spend all day on google. the Bye week didn’t start until 1990.

The Redskins defeated the Cowboys 4 straight times in the regular season from 1972-1975. If you add the 1972 NFC Championship game, the streak was actually 5 games. Unfortunately we were not able to make it 4 in a row this week. Congrats to David from Michigan from getting the right answer…again.

The Skins were going for their 4th straight win at home against Dallas on Sunday night. When was the last time the Redskins defeated Dallas 4 straight times in Washington?

Sorry for the vague question but it looks like you guys figured it out. The last home game prior to a presidential election was an accurate indicator of who would win the election for every presidential election since the beginning of the Redskins’ existence until 2004 when the streak was broken. If the Redskins won their final home game prior to the election, then the incumbent party would win; if the Redskins lost, the incumbent party would lose. This was broken in 2004 when the Skins lost to the Packers but George Bush won re-election. The implication for this season was that if the Skins beat the Steelers, then McCain would win; and if the Steelers won, then it was good news for Obama. Obviously the streak proved to be successful again in that the Steelers victory accurately predicted an Obama victory. Congrats to David from Michigan for the correct answer. But he was one of many. Lots of participation this week.

Yes, this is a vague question. but suck it up! There was a streak that ran from the creation of the Washington Redskins until their game against the Green Bay Packers in 2004. The streak was broken in that game. What was the streak, how was it broken, and what are the implications for this week’s game against the Steelers?

1987 - The Skins lost to the Los Angeles Rams 30-26 at home on Monday Night Football. In 1982, the Skins lost once, to Dallas, finishing the season 8-1. In 1983 they lost twice, once to Dallas at home on MNF and once on the road at Green Bay also on MNF. In 1987 they lost 4 games, at Atlanta, at Philadelphia, at Miami and home against St. Louis. In 1991 they lost twice, once at home to Dallas and once at Philadelphia. Congratulations to Big Mike from Orlando for the correct answer.

Joe Gibbs took the Redskins to 4 Super Bowls (winning 3). During those 4 seasons combined, the Redskins lost only 1 home game to a non-divisional opponent (i.e., NOT Cowboys, Eagles, Giants, and Cardinals). Name the season, opponent, score, etc of the game. Best of luck.
