Episode 147 Question
The Redskins just played the Cowboys coming out of their bye week. What is the Redskins all-time record in games played immediately after a bye week? Don’t worry, you won’t have to spend all day on google. the Bye week didn’t start until 1990.
Episode 146 Answer
The Redskins defeated the Cowboys 4 straight times in the regular season from 1972-1975. If you add the 1972 NFC Championship game, the streak was actually 5 games. Unfortunately we were not able to make it 4 in a row this week. Congrats to David from Michigan from getting the right answer…again.
Episode 146 Question
The Skins were going for their 4th straight win at home against Dallas on Sunday night. When was the last time the Redskins defeated Dallas 4 straight times in Washington?
Episode 144 Answer
Sorry for the vague question but it looks like you guys figured it out. The last home game prior to a presidential election was an accurate indicator of who would win the election for every presidential election since the beginning of the Redskins’ existence until 2004 when the streak was broken. If the Redskins won their final home game prior to the election, then the incumbent party would...

Episode 139 Question
This question is in honor of Jim Zorn’s first win as a Redskins coach. The Redskins have had several coaches since 1980. Name the first wins for each coach since 1980 as head coach of the Skins. I don’t care about any games coached before they came here. I want the games (opponent, week, score, year) where they got their first win as a Redskins coach. Good Luck.
Episode 137 Answer
Apparently no one got the answer right. Perhaps everyone was out celebrating the win and couldn’t find the time to look up the answer. Anyway, the answer is: Desmond Howard. He was drafted by the Redskins in 1992, played here for a few seasons, and then moved on. He scored a Kickoff Return touchdown in Super Bowl XXXVI for Green Bay against New England and ended up being MVP. but as a...

Episode 135 Question
Now that the podcast is up, I’ll post the question here. I’ll do my best to speak up next week cuz I know it was hard to hear me this week. So, to repeat, here is the question for the week: What are the 5 current franchises that have never defeated the Redskins in Washington? Let’s hope no one gets hurt Thursday night against Jacksonville and let’s hope we can get some...
Episode 133 Question
Well, there was a screw up with the hogline so this week’s trivia question is gonna be only online. This week’s questions are in honor of the Skins’ defeat of the Buffalo Bills last weekend. As such, the questions are about the Redskins victory over Buffalo in Super Bowl XXVI. 1) Who sang the National Anthem? 2) Which Redskin played that game (and played well) on his college home...
Hall of Fame Special answer
Well, the final off-season question and answer is upon us. The Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony was tremendous. I had a blast. Here are the answers: Art Monk - everyone should know that #81 set the record against the Denver Broncos in 1992 but not many know that he took over the #2 spot in 1991 at home against the Cleveland Browns (with a TD catch, no less). Darrell Green - His punt return was v....

Hall of Fame Special question
In honor of our two inductees, here are a couple of questions for them: 1) *Darrell Green*: He scored 11 touchdowns in his career: 8 on interception returns, 2 on fumble returns, and 1 on a punt return. Name the games in which he scored his 2 fumble returns and his 1 punt return. I don’t expect all 8 picks for TD but the more you can name the better. 2) *Art Monk*: During his career Art Monk...

Believe it or not, it’s Frank Herzog. It happens at the scene at Mount Vernon when Nicolas Cage is showing the President a map of Mount Vernon drawn by George Washington. Frank walks up and says hi to the President who says back, “Nice to see you, Frank.” Incredibly random. Congrats to our off-season trivia master, David Iseminger for another correct answer. Episode 125 Question
Before I ask the next question, I just want to suggest (based on the conversation on the podcast) that Dan Snyder should allow for a discount ($3? $5? $10?) off the price of admission at any Six Flags for anyone wearing Redskins memorabilia…hats, tshirts, sweaters, etc. OK, onto the question: 2 Redskins have returned interceptions for touchdowns against the Lions in the playoffs. Name them,...

OK, here’s a doozy. or is it doozie? i’m gonna go with Doozy. It’s another draft question: There are only 2 instances where players drafted back-to-back *outside of the top 10* (of the first round) ended up in the Hall of Fame. Clue: each pair involved one player drafted by the Redskins. Name the 4 players, the years, and the # of the picks. I hope the question is clear enough....

Episode 116 Answer
Well, this question was tricky and kudos for C.J. Crabill for getting the right movie. The movie is Jerry Maguire which was nominated for best picture. The former player I was looking for was Art Monk who had a one liner as Jerry and Rod were walking and talking after a game, they say hi to Art who’s busy signing autographs. Since I haven’t gotten any guesses on Episode 116, I thought I’d leave it open another week. So you are gonna have to wait for the answer. Sorry. And since we’re on a movie theme, I thought I’d keep it going with another Hollywood Redskins reference. In what movie did Gene Hackman wear a Redskins jacket for much of the film?

The last player to have been inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame to have played any part of his career with the Redskins was safety Paul Krause, inducted in 1998. Episode 112 Question
In honor of the upcoming Hall of Fame announcements, I have the following questions. John Riggins is the last true Redskins player to make the Hall of Fame. Gibbs and George Allen have since made it as a coach. But who was the last player to make the hall of fame to have played any part of his career with the Redskins? What year was he inducted? Whom did he play most of his career for? Thank you...
Episode 110 Answer
Prior to this year, Gibbs’ record over his 9 opening round games of the playoffs was 8-1. His lone loss was at home to Chicago in 1984. Unfortunately this winning percentage did not translate into a victory over Seattle this year in the opening round. His career will end with an impressive 8-2 record in the opening round.
Episode 110 Question
This season marks the 10th time in 16 seasons that the Washington Redskins have made the playoffs with Joe Gibbs as coach. In anticipation of this week’s opening round matchup against the Seahawks, I thought I might find some hope and inspiration in Gibbs’ playoff history. What is Gibbs’ record in the opening round game of the previous 9 playoff season as coach of the Redskins?...
Episode 109 Answer
In the two games (prior to this year) that the Redskins finished the regular season at home against the Dallas Cowboys, the Redskins went 2-0. In 1996 the Redskins defeated Dallas 37-10 in what was the final game for the Redskins at RFK Stadium. And in 2002, Washington defeated Dallas 20-17 in Darrell Green’s final game. Congratulations to C.J. Crabill for getting the correct answer.
